Position Summary: The Assembly Operator is responsible for assembling and installing manufactured and purchased materials, hardware, and components to complete the interior and exterior of emergency vehicles. This role uses a variety of hand, power, and air tools while working from prints, instructions, and work orders to ensure quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities: Review and interpret work instructions, prints, and work orders. Inspect and verify interior and exterior assemblies and hand tools, power tools, air tools, and small machinery. Assemble and install vehicle components including: Running boards and rub rails FenderettesRear steps and step ends Doors, windows, latches, gaskets, and related hardware Shelving systems and storage components Outside storage compartments and doors Interior trim and lighting Oxygen window systems Countertops and interior fixtures Suction systems and ventilation components Squad bench components and accessories Install general interior hardware and accessories. Apply caulk and perform finish work as required. Clean and detail vehicle interiors and exteriors. Maintain inventory and replenish Kanban effectively with Assembly, Electrical, and Quality teams. Assist with miscellaneous projects as assigned.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience using hand tools, power tools, air tools, and tape measures. Assembly, manufacturing, construction, or related experience preferred. Ability to read and follow work instructions and blueprints.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds with assistance. Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and bending. Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements. Ability to work with tools and equipment safely and efficiently. Must successfully complete pre-employment and applicable ongoing drug and alcohol testing requirements. Demonstrate reliable attendance and consistent performance. Why Join Braun?
