About the role
Position Overview:
Ideal candidates reside in the Midwest or Eastern USAWe are seeking an Associate Project Manager (APM) to support large-scale AI and high-performance computing data center deployments across the Midwest and Eastern United States, including projects supporting major hyperscale clients and emerging AI infrastructure initiatives. This role is ideal for an individual with 1-3 years of experience in data centers, construction, commissioning, operations, or technical project delivery who wants to be on the leading edge of AI infrastructure deployment. The successful candidate will serve as the \"eyes and ears\" of the project team, traveling between active data center sites to evaluate floor readiness, identify risks, support deployment planning, and ensure facilities are prepared to receive critical computing infrastructure.
What You'll Do:
Travel extensively to data center sites throughout the Midwest and East Coast region. Assess and verify data hall readiness before deployment activities. Support Project Managers and Senior Project Managers by providing field observations, reporting, and readiness assessments. Evaluate whether facilities are prepared to accept critical infrastructure. Perform QA/QC reviews and readiness inspections. Coordinate with construction, commissioning, operations, and deployment teams. Produce detailed site observations, readiness reports, and risk mitigation recommendations.
Required Qualifications:
1-3 years of experience supporting data center construction, operations, commissioning, deployments, or project management. Understanding of data center infrastructure fundamentals. Ability to identify risks and escalate concerns appropriately. Strong communication and reporting skills. Comfortable working independently while traveling between sites. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project tracking tools.
