Medical Technician (Med Tech) We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Medical Technician (Med Tech) to join our team in Mobile, Alabama. The Med Tech will play an essential role in the delivery of quality healthcare services in a mobile nursing and rehabilitation setting. This position involves ensuring the highest standards of care for our patients, assisting nursing staff, and supporting rehabilitation efforts.
Key Responsibilities: Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers. Monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes to the nursing staff. Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans. Conduct wellness checks and assist patients with daily living activities. Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient care and education to patients and families regarding medication management and rehabilitation processes. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, safety protocols, and infection control procedures. Assist nursing staff during clinical assessments and rehabilitation sessions. Maintain an organized and clean work environment, including the proper storage and handling of medical supplies.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Med Tech or comparable training is preferred. Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in mobile nursing or rehabilitation, is an asset. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient-centered care. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Knowledge of medication administration procedures and medical terminology. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is preferred.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and assist patients as necessary. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to manage travel to patient :Competitive salary.
