Data Center Technician (Field Analyst)
Locations: Ashburn, VA
Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday, 5:00 PM – 1:00
AMRole Overview:
This role supports day-to-day data center operations (DCO) and infrastructure projects across Ashburn and Manassas facilities. The ideal candidate has end-to-end data center experience, in a variety of functions, and is comfortable working hands-on while coordinating with vendors and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform cradle-to-grave infrastructure work: copper and fiber cabling (Cat 5/6), rack & stack, testing, troubleshooting, and decommissioning Support power events, capacity management, and new data center build-outs Coordinate vendors, electrical contractors, and internal stakeholders Create, track, and close infrastructure tickets and documentation Requirements 1-7+ years of data center experience Strong understanding of cabling and fiber Hands-on cabling and cable testing experience Flexibility for night shifts, weekends, and overtime
