Job Description: Truck Driver/CDLShoreland Transport USA, a large east coast company is looking for qualified drivers. With a responsive team and top of the line equipment; Shoreland Transport USA has grown into a leader in the transportation industry. We are currently accepting applications for experienced Truck Operators for our Suffolk location. This is a full-time position and the ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience operating a tractor-trailer unit.
Job Location: Suffolk, VAJob Duties & Responsibilities:* Operates units and associated equipment in a safe, responsible and professional manner. * Follows and complies with all government legislation and internal policies & procedures. * Participates in all pre-job hazard assessments and inspections prior to commencing any job. * Ensures proper load securement of all transported product and any other equipment. * Responsible for safe food practices during transport, loading and offloading of product at different locations. * Completes all required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner, while following all federal hours of service regulations. * Ability to provide leadership and coaching to subordinates through coaching and mentoring. * Completes job tasks with personal and public safety as the top priority.
Qualifications: * High school diploma (GED or equivalent)*
Must have: CDL - Class A license* 1 year of experience in a similar role * Valid Health Card* Valid TWIC Card * A clear understanding of various tractor trailer units and their operation* Strong work ethic and reliability Competitive pay per mile along with drop off/pick up pay.
