About the role

Our client, a private philanthropic organization, seeks a Director of Operations to oversee day-to-day operational infrastructure and help drive the continued development of its people, processes, systems, and office operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee employee-related processes, including onboarding, offboarding, performance management, training, and benefits administration
  • Lead and develop a small operations team
  • Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams on operational priorities and initiatives
  • Develop, document, and improve internal policies, procedures, and workflows
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and support contract negotiations
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement new systems and technologies, including AI-enabled tools
  • Oversee day-to-day IT coordination and serve as a liaison with external technology providers
  • Help ensure appropriate technology, security, and operational policies are implemented and maintained
  • Oversee office operations, facilities, equipment, and related projects
  • Support senior leadership with special projects and other operational initiatives
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with a high degree of discretion
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher 10+ years of experience in operations, administration, or a related leadership function
  • Experience managing or mentoring a team
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and improve processes and procedures
  • Comfortable working with a variety of technology and business systems
  • Interest in and familiarity with AI and emerging technologies
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
  • Comfortable operating in a dynamic environment with a broad range of responsibilities
