About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with numbers, and takes pride in maintaining accurate financial records. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing invoices, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring timely and accurate payments.
What You'll Do: Process high-volume vendor invoices accurately and efficiently. Review invoices, purchase orders, and supporting documentation for approval and compliance. Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve payment discrepancies. Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive vendor relationships. Assist with month-end close activities, including account reconciliations and accruals. Maintain organized financial records and documentation. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely invoice approvals. Support audit requests and provide necessary documentation. Identify opportunities to improve AP processes and increase efficiency.
What We're Looking For: 2+ years of Accounts Payable or accounting experience. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and accounting principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis. Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, Workday, or similar. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications: High-volume invoice processing experience. Three-way matching experience. Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations. Knowledge of sales and use tax regulations. Manufacturing, distribution, healthcare, or professional services industry experience.
