About the role
Director of Field Operations – Solar | C&I | DG | Utility-Scale📍 Mid-AtlanticI’m working with a growing renewable energy organization that is looking to add a Director of Field Operations to lead and develop its field organization across C&I, distributed generation and utility-scale solar projects. This is not simply a step up from a Superintendent or Construction Manager role. They are looking for an established leader who has experience building organizations, creating processes, hiring and developing teams, managing performance and leading through change. What they’re looking for: Proven leadership experience within solar, renewable energy, construction or EPCExperience leading field operations across multiple projects and teams Background across C&I, DG and/or utility-scale solar Experience building and implementing processes, procedures and operational standards Proven ability to hire, develop and manage high-performing teams Strong understanding of construction, safety, quality, scheduling and project execution Experience managing organizational change and driving continuous improvement Strong communication skills with the ability to work across field, project, executive and client teams Technical solar/construction knowledge is important, but leadership and organizational experience are the key differentiators
The Opportunity:
This is an opportunity to take ownership of the field organization and help shape how projects are executed across multiple segments of the solar market. If you’re an experienced field operations leader who has already built and managed teams — rather than simply looking for your next step up from a Superintendent role — I’d be interested in speaking with you.📩 DM me directly for more information or to discuss the role confidentially.#Solar Jobs #Solar Energy #Renewable Energy #CISolar #Distributed Generation #Utility Scale Solar #Construction Jobs #EPC #Field Operations #Leadership #Renewables
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
