About the role
- Build and maintain relationships with Current and prospective clients
- Interact with BPC members in Financial Operations and other practice areas of the firm to coordinate excellent delivery
- Assist with reconciliations, month end reporting, preparing clients for audit, cleaning up their books, and assisting their department with integration of merger and acquisition data
- Interact directly with the client contact (CFO, Controller) and their staff
- Provide project status updates, feedback, and thoughtful insights into client challenges for your delivery manager
- Embrace flexibility and take on tasks and assignments that maybe out of your comfort zone
- 6+ years of hands‑on full‑cycle accounting experienceB.A. or B.S. required, Accounting or Finance degrees preferred
- Strong desire for consulting‑style work and delivering excellent customer service
- Industry experience in start-ups, technology, software, oilfield services, insurance and Big Four/public accounting is highly preferred
- Experience with monthly close procedures, monthly and quarterly financial reporting
- Recent hands‑on experience with routine accounting processes such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and cash management
- Hands‑on experience with accounting software (i.e. QuickBooks, NetSuite, Great Plains or Intacct)
- Ability to adapt to various client environments, and communicate effectively at all levels within the organization
- Demonstration of a strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, experience researching technical GAAP issues
- Past experience working in small to mid‑sized company environment with the ability to multi‑task and wear several hats
- CPA and/or MBA preferred
- Prior employment by a Big Four or other nationally recognized accounting firms
- Industry experience in emerging growth, technology, and SaaS companies
- Revenue Recognitions highly preferred
