About the role
We are seeking an efficient, production-minded AI-Assisted Software Developer to join our engineering team on a contract basis. In this role, your primary responsibility is to write code and ship features rapidly using advanced AI coding tools and LLM prompting (e.g., Claude 3.5 Sonnet, Claude Code, Cursor). We're looking for an adaptable developer who knows how to effectively prompt and direct Claude/LLMs to generate clean, high-quality code, debug issues, and accelerate feature delivery within a collaborative engineering team.
Key Responsibilities:
Accelerated Feature Development: Use AI models and AI-driven IDEs and workflows to rapidly write, refactor, and ship production-ready software features. Effective Prompting for Code: Formulate precise prompts, context structures, and technical specs to guide LLMs in generating accurate, secure, and maintainable code across our codebase. Code Review & Quality Control: Review, audit, test, and sanitize all AI-generated code to ensure it meets our architectural guidelines, performance standards, and security practices. Team Integration: Work closely with backend/frontend engineers and product managers to break down feature requests into manageable tasks and prompt sequences. Debugging & Problem Solving: Leverage Claude to quickly diagnose bugs, trace errors across complex systems, and generate targeted fixes.
What We're Looking For
Practical Software Development Experience:
Strong foundation in core programming concepts, software architecture, git workflows, and clean code principles. Familiarity with AI Coding Workflows: Proven ability to leverage Claude and AI coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, Git Hub Copilot, Continue) to significantly increase development speed and throughput. Strong Context & Specification Design: Ability to provide LLMs with the exact context, type definitions, and constraints required to generate fully working code with minimal iteration. Critical Eye for Code: Strong technical judgment to catch subtle AI hallucinations, security vulnerabilities, edge cases, and inefficient patterns in generated code. Strong Communication: Ability to collaborate seamlessly with standard software engineers and stakeholders, and communicate technical trade-offs.
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
