About the role
- Conduct Medicaid claims analysis, including encounter, eligibility, and provider data
- Support data quality, validation, and reconciliation efforts across large healthcare datasets
- Develop and verify analysis parameters, and produce technical documentation
- Write efficient, high-quality code in SQL, Python, and/or R for data analysis
- Translate complex Medicaid data findings for technical, policy, and client stakeholders
- Master’s degree or higher in Statistics, Economics, Public Health, Public Policy, or a related field 6+ years of experience in healthcare analytics, health policy research, or consulting
- Hands-on experience working with Medicaid claims, encounter, eligibility, or provider data
- Experience working with T-MSIS (Transformed Medicaid Statistical Information System) data
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and/or R for large-scale data analysis
- Knowledge of Medicaid healthcare data structures, claims, encounters, and utilization
- Experience with multi-state Medicaid data and navigating data differences
- Experience working with the CMS Integrated Data Repository (IDR)
- Strong communication skills for explaining complex data insights
- Extensive experience with multi-state Medicaid and T-MSIS datasets
- Experience supporting CMS Medicaid reporting or data quality initiatives
- Background supporting Medicaid managed care or value-based care
- Proficiency with Excel and visualization tools like Tableau or Power BIKnowledge of artificial intelligence tools for analytics
