About the role

Job Summary: The Power Platform Administrator is responsible for the strategy, governance, administration, and ongoing optimization of the Microsoft Power Platform environment, including Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Power Apps, and Power Automate. This role supports business operations by developing scalable analytics solutions, maintaining platform security and governance standards, and enabling end users to leverage data-driven insights and low-code technologies to improve decision-making and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities: Administer and govern the Microsoft Power Platform environment, including environment management, licensing, access controls, and data loss prevention policies. Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic models supporting operational and business reporting needs. Manage and optimize Microsoft Fabric environments, including data pipelines, lakehouses, and integrations with enterprise data sources. Develop and support Power Apps and Power Automate solutions that improve business processes and reduce manual workloads. Write, troubleshoot, and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting requirements. Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver scalable Power Platform solutions. Establish and enforce governance, security, compliance, and data management standards across the platform. Monitor system performance, platform adoption, licensing utilization, and overall solution effectiveness. Provide user training, documentation, and technical support for business users and citizen developers. Evaluate new Microsoft technologies and platform enhancements for potential business value and implementation. Collaborate with IT teams on infrastructure, security, networking, and system integration initiatives.
Qualifications: 3+ years of experience administering and developing solutions within Power BI and the Microsoft Power Platform. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power Apps, and/or Power Automate. Strong knowledge of SQL, relational databases, and query optimization techniques. Experience with data modeling, DAX, and enterprise reporting solutions. Knowledge of Power Platform governance, security controls, and DLP policy administration. Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory) and role-based access management. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences. Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and support cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications: Microsoft Power Platform, Power BI, Fabric, Azure, or related certifications are preferred. Experience supporting enterprise-wide business intelligence, analytics, and automation initiatives is a plus.
