First Impressions Specialist / Tolleson Family Activity BuildingTo create a welcoming and hospitable experience for every guest, member, and caller by providing exceptional service, helpful information, and meaningful connections to the ministries and mission of HPUMC.Reports to: Sr. Director of Guest ExperienceMinistry Exemption: NoFLSA Status: Non-exemptCampus: Mockingbird – TollesonWorking Hours: Usual working hours for this part-time position are Monday-Thursday. During certain times of the year additional hours may be necessary to meet the demands of the job. All church staff will be asked to support and serve for religious holidays and worship services including Christmas Eve and Easter.Anticipated Schedule: Monday - Thursday - 8:30 am - 1:30 pm**Working hours/time of day may be adjusted as needed to meet ministry and program needsResponsibilities include:To deliver an exceptional guest experience at HPUMC:1. Warmly welcome and greet every guest who enters the Tolleson building, creating a hospitable and inviting first impression.2. Provide accurate information about HPUMC's ministries, programs, events, and services to guests and callers.3. Assist guests in navigating the campus and locating their destination.4. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming lobby environment that reflects HPUMC's commitment to hospitality.5. Answer and direct incoming phone callsEducation: Some CollegeExperience: Previous customer service experience highly preferredOther Qualifications:Effective Communication - Excellent verbal communication and active listening skillsProfessionalism - Good first impression, professional appearance and attitude, on-time arrivalInterpersonal Aplomb - Collaborates easily and can gracefully handle tense situationsMultitasking Capabilities - Manage lots of activity without getting flustered, capable of problem-solvingPreferred Software Experience:G Suite (Google, Gmail, Calendar, etc...)Espace - Calendar Management softwarePhysical Demands:Sitting Standing Walking Seeing HearingSpeaking Lifting/carrying up to 10 pounds Fine Motor SkillsOther Qualifications: Must be a committed Christian comfortable working in a United Methodist church environment.
