About the role

Our client, External Research Solutions is seeking a Scientist to join their team. As a Scientist, you will be part of the External Research Solutions organization supporting in vivo PK/PD and PK/PD activities across the drug discovery portfolio. The ideal candidate will have strong scientific judgment, a collaborative enabler mindset, and the ability to communicate clearly across internal stakeholders and external CRO partners, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Groton, CT
Pay Range: $39 What's the Job? Coordinate external in vivo pharmacokinetic (PK), pharmacodynamic (PD), and PK/PD studies conducted at CROs. Ensure compliance with external PK workflow and study requirements as defined in SOPs. Partner with internal stakeholders and CRO subject matter experts to help devise study approaches, including dose selection, sampling strategies, endpoints, bioanalytical requirements, and data interpretation. Review CRO proposals, protocols, data packages, and reports, and execute studies in a timely, organized manner. Identify risks and knowledge gaps, remove barriers, and recommend practical paths forward while supporting multiple programs with scientific rigor and clear communication. What's Needed? Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline with 10+ years of industry experience, or a Master's degree with 5+ years, or a PhD with 1-3+ years of industry experience. Demonstrated expertise in in vivo PK, PD, and PK/PD within preclinical drug discovery. Experience working with CROs and cross-functional scientific teams, including academia-industry partnerships. Ability to influence without direct authority and operate independently with limited day-to-day direction. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including translating complex scientific information into actionable recommendations. What's in it for me?
