About the role
Calculated Hire is in search of an experienced Reporting Developer with strong SQL expertise for our Fortune 100 Financial Services Company. You must be able to work independetly in a fast paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, enhance, and support reports and reporting solutions using Power BI, Report Builder, and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).Write, modify, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and related database objects. Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective reporting and software solutions. Investigate and resolve issues related to reports, SQL queries, data, and application functionality. Work with existing SQL-based development tools and proprietary processes, becoming proficient in the organization's technical environment. Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues. Maintain appropriate technical documentation related to development, testing, and support activities. Manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality Required Qualifications• Previous hands-on experience as a Software Developer; business analyst experience alone is not sufficient.• Experience developing, maintaining, and supporting reports using Power BI, Report Builder, and SSRS.• Advanced SQL expertise, including the ability to read, write, modify, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries.• Ability to quickly learn and become proficient in proprietary SQL-based development tools and processes.• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.• Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience creating and executing test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.• Experience with manual and automated testing methodologies.• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Work Schedule:
Position is initially 5 days onsite with ability to switch to 3 onsite, 2 remote once working independently.
