Reardon Yacht Consulting is an independently owned company in South Florida offering boutique yacht management services to clients worldwide including Financial Administration, Operational and Technical Support, Safety Management, Crew Management, Placement and Payroll. Role Summary The Safety Administrator for Reardon Yacht Consulting will assist the Safety Manager in maintaining the Company Safety Management System (SMS) aboard fleet yachts within the perimeters of the ISM Code and work directly with the Designated Person Ashore (DPA) to ensure: Critical Equipment List is applied to the Planned Maintenance System (PMS) PMS is maintained appropriately Follow Defect Reports and closures Safety Equipment is inventoried and maintained Crew documentation is current including familiarizations and trainings Crew Hours of Rest is maintained and signed off Vessel documentation is maintained (both in Manage My Vessel and onboard) Drills complete and Drills Matrix is followed Safety Meeting complete and issues addressed Incidents, Accidents, Near Misses are reported and closed Non-Conformities and Observations are reported and closed Risk Assessments are completed and Permits to Work are followed Assist with audits, surveys and any changes impacting Class and/or Flag Oversight of the safety system aboard non-ISM yachts Additional Tasks would include: Participation in Annual Company DOC Audits Participation in Fleet Internal Audits, Flag and Class Surveys  Assist with New Yacht SMS Set Up Issue SMS Manuals (as per New Yacht SMS Set Up) Participation in departmental and company meetings as required  Required Experience and Skills A valuable team member will be positive, high energy, efficient, organized and a strong administrator of this fast-paced, multi-operational business. An understanding of / involvement with the yachting industry, experience as crew and an understanding of basic safety and engineering function would all be very helpful. IT fluency and attention to detail is required. Knowledge of Manage My Vessel software is a plus. This may be a remote or in-office position with flexible hours.
