The Role:
Under the direction of the Plating Supervisor, the Plater Operator is responsible to plate rolls in order to meet customer requirements, to help the Plating Supervisor with training new Plating Helpers according to the work instructions, and to contain all hazardous waste in proper containers.
Requirements:
Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Key Result Items Prepare rolls for chrome plating Set plating controls and monitor plating tank temperature and solution levels Inspect rolls for defects before and after plating Perform testing for surface texture and chrome thickness on rolls Fill out paperwork completely Perform crane inspection Maintain housekeeping of area Able to work overtime when required#1 Andritz Way Core Behaviors Customer Focus Ownership for Performance Shared Commitment Openness Job Specific Competencies Ability to understand and follow instructions quickly and accurately Must be able to work with minimal supervision Education and Experience High School diploma or equivalent Crane Safety training, Hazardous Communication training, and ISO Quality System training preferred Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Good vision All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or disability.
