Role Description:
The Fleet Operations Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Bensenville, IL. This role is responsible for overseeing daily fleet activities, including dispatching vehicles, monitoring routes, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The Fleet Operations Manager coordinates maintenance schedules, manages driver assignments, and works closely with internal teams to resolve operational issues and meet service commitments. This position also involves tracking performance metrics, analyzing fleet efficiency, and recommending improvements to reduce costs and enhance service quality. The role requires consistent communication with drivers, vendors, and leadership to support smooth, reliable operations.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in Fleet Operations and Fleet Management, with a strong understanding of transportation and logistics processes. Proven Operations Management and Analytical Skills to oversee daily activities, interpret data, and implement process improvements. Strong Supervisory Skills, including the ability to lead, coach, and support drivers and operations staff. Knowledge of safety standards, DOT regulations, and best practices in fleet maintenance and compliance. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners. Proficiency with fleet management software, routing tools, and basic office applications. Ability to work on-site in Bensenville, IL, with flexibility to respond to urgent operational needs.
