Title: Claims Consultant – Commercial Auto / Liability Adjuster
Location: Chicago, Illinois (on-site)Frederick Fox is partnering with an established excess & surplus lines insurance carrier, in business for more than 30 years, that specializes in hard-to-place risks. It's hiring experienced Claims Consultants to handle commercial liability claims from start to finish.
What you'll do: Manage a caseload of about 120 files across commercial auto (30–40%) and other commercial lines, with 20–30% in litigation Investigate and determine liability and exposure on bodily injury and property damage claims Interview insureds, claimants, witnesses and agents, and take recorded statements Review police reports and medical records, and evaluate claims accurately Negotiate settlements with claimants and attorneys, and work with counsel on litigated files What you bring 3–10 years of P&C claims experience (strong candidates outside that range will be considered)Commercial auto experience preferred. Personal auto with bodily injury exposure will also be considered. E&S experience is a plusA P&C adjuster license, or the ability to get one within 6 months College degree strongly preferred but not required. AIC, CPCU or similar designations are a plus.
