Construction Materials Technician
Location: Corpus Christi, TX
Job Status: Contract
Pay Rate: $22 - $24 per hour (Based on experience)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMOvertime/10-12hrs per day (50-60 hrs per week)
Company Values: Community, Integrity, Passion, Quality, and Growth General Description Conduct field and laboratory testing, sampling, and inspection of construction materials while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities: Perform soil and concrete testing, sampling, and inspection of construction materials on-site and in the lab. Coordinate daily priorities with dispatchers, project managers, and contractors. Follow safety protocols for operating, storing, and maintaining nuclear gauges and field equipment. Submit accurate daily testing and inspection reports. Drive company vehicles safely to and from job sites.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: At least 6 months of applicable construction materials testing experience.
Certifications: At least 1 current industry certification (ACI Field Grade I, TXDOT, NICET, ICC, or PTI in soils/asphalt). Troxler nuclear safety course (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
Driver's License: Valid driver's license meeting company auto insurability requirements.
Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and fundamental math skills.
