Position Overview: HireIQ are seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to join our client’s growing residential property management team. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this role will form part of the firm’s leadership team and supporting financial reporting across a multi-family portfolio.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial statements, including variance analysis Lead financial reporting meetings with clients and investors Support timely monthly closings across multiple client portfolios (Affordable Housing)Assist with annual budgets, financial projections, and cost analysis Oversee the accounting onboarding process for new clients Work closely with legal, leasing, and compliance teams to support client needs Maintain internal controls and improve accounting processes and workflows Prepare ad hoc reports and support special projects across the portfolio
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field; CPA is a plus Experience in real estate property management accounting Experience using Yardi VoyagerA background in financial reporting, budgeting, and cost analysis Experience leading and mentoring accounting staff Strong Excel skills and a willingness to learn new systems Affordable housing experience (LIHTC, Section 8, HUD)Click apply or reach out to Kenton Bell for more details.
