Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced GIS Analyst to support complex GIS and application development initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with ArcGIS, spatial analysis, GIS application development, SQL/database technologies, web technologies, and software testing. The candidate will work closely with development teams, project managers, and business stakeholders to design, maintain, enhance, test, and support GIS-based web, client/server, mobile, and data applications.
Key Responsibilities: Analyze, develop, maintain, and enhance GIS applications and spatial data solutions. Perform complex spatial analysis and produce reports based on business and customer requirements. Develop and maintain GIS applications using ArcGIS Online (AGOL), ArcGIS Portal, Builder, and Dashboards. Create and maintain geospatial basemaps, tile caches, and imagery-based solutions. Maintain and manage spatial databases and ensure data quality and integrity. Develop SQL scripts, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and SSIS packages. Validate GIS and database data and maintain accurate metadata and technical documentation. Support web-based, client/server, mobile, and legacy applications. Develop and modify applications using technologies such as C#,.NET, ASP.NET, Java Script, Type Script, HTML, CSS, and T-SQL.Support application development using Microsoft Power Apps. Develop and execute unit, system, regression, and automated testing. Identify and resolve application and data-related issues. Develop or review testing and implementation plans. Collaborate with developers and project managers to meet project milestones and deadlines. Evaluate new technologies and recommend solutions to technical and application challenges. Ensure applications meet accessibility and ADA compliance requirements. Provide technical guidance and support to development teams and business stakeholders. Maintain knowledge of current GIS, application development, database, and IT technologies.
Required Skills & Experience: 4+ years of experience in GIS, cartography, CADD, or a related field.4+ years of experience with complex spatial analysis and GIS application development. Hands-on experience with: ArcGIS Online (AGOL)ArcGIS Portal ArcGIS Builder/Web App Builder ArcGIS Dashboards Experience creating and maintaining: GIS basemaps Tile caches Imagery-based GIS solutions 4+ years of advanced SQL experience, including: T-SQLDatabase scripting Stored procedures Functions TriggersSSISSpatial databases Data validation Metadata management 4+ years of software testing experience, including: Unit testing System testing Regression testing Automated testing 2+ years of experience with: C#/.NETVB.NETASP.NETXMLAJAXHTMLCSSJava Script Type ScriptT-SQLMicrosoft Power Apps 1+ year of experience with ADA Compliance/accessibility standards. Bachelor's degree required. Foreign degrees must be evaluated as equivalent to a U.S. bachelor's degree.

Work Requirements: Candidates must be local to the Lansing, Michigan area within 90 miles at the time of submission. Hybrid schedule is mandatory. Candidates must work onsite every Wednesday and Thursday. Onsite days cannot be changed. Candidates must be available for in-person interviews. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship from the client.
Ideal Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate is a GIS Developer, GIS Application Developer, GIS Analyst, or GIS Software Developer with a strong combination of: ArcGIS + AGOL + Portal + GIS Application Development + Spatial Analysis + SQL/T-SQL + Spatial Databases + C#/.NET + Java Script/Type Script + Software Testing.
