We're looking for an experienced, multifaceted Paralegal Lead to join Snap Inc! As a member of the Legal team, you'll play a key role on Snap's Litigation and Safety team. Snap's Legal team helps Snap do the right thing the right way, make better decisions, understand and manage risks, and creatively navigate challenges, both external and internal. This is an in-office role under our "Default Together" policy located in Santa Monica, San Francisco, or New York.
What you'll do:
Support Snap's Litigation and Safety team on matters large and small
Work with internal and external legal teams to manage all aspects of disputes, including case preparation, fact investigation, witness contacts, tracking and communication of case-related dates and information, tracker/database maintenance, discovery/eDiscovery, and the review and preparation of documents, reports and correspondence
Play a critical role in team processes, organization, and knowledge management
Effectively organize and maintain litigation matter files
Project manage significant cross-functional initiatives and operational matters
Effectively research and summarize factual and statistical data
Work with cross-functional partners to gather, organize and maintain information necessary to support Snap's litigation and regulatory response needs
Implement processes and organization using company systems
Build and manage playbooks
Take an active role in e-discovery, working closely with the managing attorney(s) and e-discovery team
Collaborate with Legal Operations team
Handle projects resourcefully, both operating independently and also at the direction of or in collaboration with the managing attorney(s)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Excellent analytical, communication, organizational, and writing skills
Excellent legal and business judgment, critical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously
Ability to drive collaboration and share knowledge and expertise cross-functionally with internal stakeholders
Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
Ability to accommodate tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
A team player with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Ability to identify and resolve issues quickly by being resourceful and able to work cross-functionally with stakeholders to complete tasks and resolve issues
Ability to prioritize projects effectively and communicate and manage expectations for deliverables with managing attorneys and cross-functional partners
Attention to detail and follow through with a team attitude that no job is too big or too small
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent)
8+ years as a paralegal with significant litigation experience
In-house experience, especially at a technology company, is highly valued
Solid proficiency with technology databases, litigation management tools, and electronic discovery software
As applicable, compliance with professional requirements (e.g., Cal. B&P Code Sec. 6450)
