Shift: Shift 1Shift Details:
Tuesdays 1-5pm, Thursdays 6-10am onsite at local employer in Oak Creek, WI. Additional hours above FTE may also be available within employer services.
Job Summary: Licensed Athletic Trainer IIprovides comprehensive athletic health care in accordance with evaluation and treatment protocols established by the athletic trainer and approved by the consulting physician. The services include injury or illness prevention programs; evaluation, management, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries or illness sustained during physical activity; and giving emergency care or first aid for an injury or illness sustained while participating in physical activity. The Licensed Athletic Trainer II participates in other department activities designed to enhance patient/athlete care and programs. In addition, demonstrates advanced athletic training skills and is involved in program development, staff education and student supervision. Also demonstrates emerging leadership skills and mentors department staff. Other duties as assigned. Experience Minimum of two years of experience meeting requirements of Level I responsibilities as determined by interview and assessment. Education Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited Athletic Training program or a related field is required. Special Skills Must be proficient at all LAT level 1 competencies, maintain productivity level and have the potential to take on additional responsibilities. May require clinical expertise in specific discipline. Licensure State of Wisconsin licensure as an Athletic Trainer is required. Certification as an Athletic Trainer by the Board of Certification (BOC) is required. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
