Role Description: The Assistant Payroll Manager is a full-time remote jobs. This role supports the end-to-end payroll process, including preparing payroll data, verifying time and attendance records, and assisting in processing monthly salaries for all employees. The Assistant Payroll Manager helps manage payroll taxes, garnishments, and employee benefits, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and company policies. Daily responsibilities include maintaining accurate payroll records, responding to employee inquiries, coordinating with HR and finance, and assisting in reconciliations and reporting. The role also contributes to improving payroll procedures, supporting audits, and implementing internal controls to safeguard data integrity.
Qualifications: Strong skills in Payroll Administration and Payroll Management, with experience supporting end-to-end payroll cycles. Working knowledge of Garnishments and Payroll Taxes, including application of relevant laws and regulations. Understanding of Employee Benefits and their integration with payroll processes. Proficiency in payroll software and MS Excel, with attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy. Good knowledge of local labor, tax, and social security regulations applicable in Ghana. Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills, with the ability to handle confidential information responsibly. Experience in a similar payroll or finance role; prior work in a corporate or multinational environment is an advantage. Relevant diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
