About the role
- Sample and perform pH, TA, brix, and nutritional analysis on grape juice and fermenting juice
- Sample and perform various analyses on bottled wine and wines in storage
- Perform basic wine analysis using instruments such as gas chromatograph, CO2 analyzer, alcolyzer, pH meter, spectrophotometer, autotitrator and chemistry analyzer
- Read and interpret analytical results accurately and efficiently, adhering to strict record keeping policies
- Work under pressure with multiple requests, deadlines and prioritization of samples
- Chemical preparation (acids, bases, buffers, reference standards)
- Responsible for understanding the Food Safety and Quality Management System and related activities, including SQF standards
- Report problems with the food safety system to supervisor
- Work safely and maintain a clean, organized work station
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Moderate physical work with some outdoor exposure
- Extensive walking and lifting of up to 55 pounds
- Work site may be any one of Trinchero Family Estates' facilities
- Working on 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM ShiftLong and irregular hours during peak periods
- Standing for long periods of time (8 hours per day)
- Comply with all personal protective equipment requirements including lab coat, footwear, ear plugs and safety glasses
- Exposure to various chemicals, forklifts, machinery and moving parts in lab and production areas
