Packaging Operator – 1st Shift
Shift: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM Pay: $18.00/hour
We are seeking a detail-oriented Packaging Operator to support material handling, packaging, and inventory accuracy within a warehouse and production environment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring incoming materials and outgoing finished products are handled efficiently, accurately, and safely.
Position Summary: The Packaging Operator is responsible for the movement of incoming materials and outgoing finished goods, as well as material flow throughout the warehouse. This role supports production by ensuring materials are properly packaged, labeled, stored, and documented.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Load and unload materials onto spooling and drumming equipment as directed
  • Package finished products according to specifications
  • Complete all required inventory, packaging, and shipping documentation
  • Stock materials according to warehouse layout and storage requirements
  • Print and apply labels; verify accuracy of labels and packaging
  • Inspect outgoing products for accuracy, proper labeling, and packaging
  • Receive and visually inspect incoming materials for accuracy and damage
  • Notify supervisor of any discrepancies or quality issues
  • Perform physical inventory counts to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Consistently follow 5S practices, safety, and environmental procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Be flexible and willing to cross-train in other areas as needed
Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
  • High school diploma or equivalent0–3 years of warehouse or packaging experience
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Basic to intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Dependable with strong attendance
