The Role:
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Studio Production Assistant to support our e-commerce and editorial production. This role is involved throughout the production process, from preparing product and supporting the team on set to post-shoot organization and image post-production. The ideal candidate is exceptionally organized, hands-on, and passionate about fashion, with a strong visual eye and meticulous attention to detail. They should be able to accurately manage and keep track of products and production details while working efficiently in a fast-paced studio environment, as well as carefully and diligently manage imagery through the post-production process, from preparing detailed retouching notes through successive rounds of review and feedback, until the final images meet our standards.
What You'll Be Doing:
Pre-Shoot: Pull and prepare garments, shoes, and accessories from inventory. Steam and prep items, ensuring they are shoot-ready. Organize and lay out items, setting the stage for an efficient production day. On-Shoot Support: Support our stylists by retrieving the next looks to be shot. Assist models with wardrobe changes, ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience. Accurately scan items into our shoot logging system. Observe and help identify minor styling or model issues on set, such as hair blocking the face, misaligned footwear, or uneven styling details, and assist with minor adjustments as needed. Post-Shoot: Meticulously refold, steam if necessary, and repackage garments. Return shoes, bags, and accessories to their correct original packaging with care. Return items to their correct inventory locations. Post-Production: Review images from each shoot and prepare clear, detailed retouching notes for each photo (e.g., remove skin blemishes, smooth wrinkles or creases in the garment, adjust color to accurately match the physical product etc.).Review retouched images to ensure requested corrections have been completed and images meet our retouching guidelines and visual standards. Provide additional retouching notes and review subsequent revisions as needed until images meet our standards and are ready for final approval. Potential for On-Location Opportunities: In addition to our studio work, you'll have the chance to contribute to on-location editorial shoots. Availability & Workload: We're looking for someone who can provide seasonal services, with two primary production seasons: roughly July through October and December through May. Estimated workload: Approximately 50 studio production days per season, consisting of a combination of full and partial days, with an additional 6 days per season for on-location shoots. Day length: Full shoot days can range from 8–12 hours. Lunch will be provided on photoshoot days. Scheduling: Shoot days are generally scheduled one to two weeks in advance.
What You'll Bring:
A love for fashion—be prepared to share your knowledge and passion with us! Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to keep track of products, imagery, and production details with accuracy. Meticulous attention to detail and a strong visual eye. A diligent and thorough approach to reviewing work and following tasks through to completion. The ability to work efficiently and stay organized in a fast-paced studio environment. Experience steaming, handling, and folding garments—you know how to make clothes look their best. Basic proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, including adding text layers, drawing lines and circles, and enabling/disabling layer masks.
Bonus Points:
That Will Make You Stand Out: Prior experience with studio shoots. Experience with styling or assisting a stylist. Previous experience working in the fashion industry. Experience with fashion e-commerce photography or image retouching workflows.
