About the role
E/M Assembler - 6mo to perm - Wareham, MA $18 - $22/hrPerforms variety of electronic and mechanical subassembly and assembly operations of a repetitive nature to build up units such as PC boards, cable harnesses and simple electronic/mechanical assemblies. Perform routine tasks in preparation for assembly such as cutting wire, stripping, wiring and fastening connections. Must be able to pull raw cable and strip cable. Works from diagrams or established production practices. Uses small hand tools such as soldering iron, wire strippers, crimpers, etc. Must have excellent soldering skills and fine eye/hand be able to work on small color-coded boards. Must be able to work from prints, engineering do: Reworks. Use potting material and other chemicals for building product. Operate drill presses, band saws, etc.
Qualifications:
1 to 3 years of experience for:
Complex assembly skills.
Excellent fine soldering skills.
Experience in electronic construction/repair of PC Cards/wiring.
Experience in cable assembly.
Some Electrical theory preferred.
