Facility Maintenance Technician Primary Skills: Maintenance (Expert), Repair (Advanced), Energy Efficiency (Advanced), Vendor Management (Expert), Incident Response (Expert) Contract Type: W2 Only Duration: 6+ Months Location: San Jose, CA Pay Range: $70 - $75 per hour on W2 Job Summary: This role demands a skilled Facility Maintenance Technician with a comprehensive understanding of moderate level maintenance tasks, requiring judgment to resolve issues and offer recommendations. The main focus is on performing preventive and corrective maintenance, system repairs, and energy efficiency support while ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures and safety standards. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the infrastructure's optimal functioning and supports the team in achieving maintenance goals. Key Responsibilities: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance checks and repairs on facility systems. Monitor and resolve issues within the Building Monitoring System (BMS), following standard operating procedures. Operate and maintain critical infrastructures such as plumbing, fire suppression, and safety systems. Support the work approval and tracking process for service vendors, ensuring compliance with operating procedures. Respond to and manage moderately difficult incidents, work orders, and participate in infrastructure projects and site administration tasks. Must-Have Skills: Strong understanding of technical maintenance and repair tasks. Effective problem-solving and incident management capabilities. Ability to collaborate with team members and vendors efficiently. Required Experience: High school diploma with 2-4 years of relevant work experience in facility maintenance or similar field.
