Position Summary: The Stage/Floor Manager provides coordination and event support services for in-game activations, performances, promotions and other game presentation elements from the arena floor. The Stage/Floor Manager collaborates with the Game Presentation and Production teams through headset communication to coordinate timing, staging and execution of scheduled game day elements.
Services: Coordinate with the Game Presentation team, Stage Managers and Production staff through headset communication regarding cues, timing and updates. Coordinate the setup, delivery and teardown of in-arena activations, promotions and game presentation elements. Assist with the timing and delivery of the National Anthem, intermission acts, recognition ceremonies and other special presentations. Coordinate with groups, performers, contestants and participants involved in pregame, in-game and postgame activities. Coordinate with participants regarding positioning and timing for scheduled cues. Communicate real-time updates and changes to the game presentation team throughout the event. Troubleshoot issues quickly and adjust to changes in the live event environment. Support the safe, efficient and professional delivery of activations and presentations.
Required Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be able to provide services at 10 to 13 PWHL San Jose home games. Comfortable communicating through headset in a live event environment. Strong organizational, multitasking and time management skills. Ability to coordinate and collaborate effectively with multiple event teams. Professional, reliable and collaborative. Candidate must be able to deliver services on-site. This engagement is based in the United States. Applicants must be legally entitled to provide services as an independent contractor in the United States. The PWHL does not sponsor visas or work authorization for this engagement.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience providing services in live sports, entertainment, events or game presentation preferred. Knowledge and a passion for the PWHL.Flexibility to provide services on evenings and weekends as required. Independent Contractor Engagement: This is an independent contractor engagement, not an employee position. The contractor is not eligible for PWHL employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plan participation, paid time off, or workers' compensation coverage. The PWHL will not withhold income tax, CPP/EI (Canada), or Social Security/Medicare (U.S.) from contractor payments.
