Key responsibilities: Supervise technicians and machinists; set expectations, mentor, and support growth. Oversee all shop work on rotating equipment—repair, maintenance, and assembly—ensuring quality standards are achieved. Troubleshoot mechanical issues rapidly and direct effective corrective actions. Plan and coordinate schedules, staffing, and job sequencing to drive productivity. Conduct performance evaluations and deliver constructive feedback. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and internal policies at all times. Keep meticulous records and assist with inventory management and parts readiness. Collaborate with other departments to maintain project timelines and deliverables.
Qualifications: Proven supervisory experience leading technical or manufacturing teams. Strong mechanical troubleshooting capability with rotating machinery. Background in manufacturing or a mechanical shop environment. Hands-on proficiency with manual machining tools and techniques. Clear, professional communication and strong interpersonal skills. Detail orientation in a fast-paced operation. High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree/certification preferred.
