Under the supervision of the Plant Manager, the Mechanical Assembler/Welder assembles and fabricates industrial ovens using a variety of manual and power tools. While experience is preferred, we are always willing to train candidates who have a great attitude, strong mechanical aptitude, and who are willing and eager to learn.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Read and interpret technical CAD drawings (blueprints) and follow work instructions. Perform some welding work, including MIG and TIG, or be willing to learn how to weld. Perform mechanical assembly, working with a variety of mild steel, stainless steel, structural angle, channel, and tubing. Set up, fit, and position weldments, having several parts. Develop working relationships with Engineering and other departments to address and resolve issues. Participate in cross-functional teams to address and resolve manufacturing, design, and quality problems, and to ensure the continuous improvement of processes and methods.
