About the role

Extrusion Line Operator To perform tasks necessary to efficiently control the operation of extrusion line from raw material input to finished product. Must be able to work C Shift: Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Every Other Sunday, 6:45 AM to 7:00 PM. $1 per hour shift incentive applies to C shift.
Job Duties:
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work area/warehouse
  • Maintains a safe working environment by following all company safety policies and procedures and reports unsafe conditions and incidents
  • Maintains company's quality standards
  • Responsible for training employees
  • Computes amounts of stock and supplies required for operations, based on production schedules, and requisitions materials from storage area
  • Supports plans flow of materials through department and develops physical layout of machines according to work orders
  • Communicates with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met
  • Directs/instructs workers in adjusting machines and equipment to repair products which fail to meet standards
  • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules
  • Maintains time and production records
  • Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), one to three years of experience preferred
  • Ability to work at a fast pace
  • Ability to multi task and read production tickets
  • Ability to perform math calculations including fractions
  • Must be able to read tape measure, including micrometer
  • Must be computer literate
  • Ability to maintain production standards
  • Must be dedicated to continuous improvement
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds, bend, stretch, or stand for extended periods of time
