About the role
Engineering Project Management InternThe Engineering Project Management Intern provides support to the Engineering and Project Management teams while gaining hands-on exposure to manufacturing, engineering, and project execution processes within a fast-paced production environment. This internship is designed for students interested in engineering, manufacturing, construction, or business operations who want to develop practical skills and gain real-world experience supporting active projects.The intern will assist with project coordination, documentation management, process improvement initiatives, and operational support activities. Success in this role will be measured through attention to detail, organizational effectiveness, willingness to learn, and contribution to department goals and project deliverables.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist the Engineering and Project Management teams with daily administrative and operational tasksHelp organize and maintain project documentation, drawings, schedules, and reportsTrack project progress and update internal project-tracking spreadsheets and systemsAssist with data entry, inventory tracking, and document control activitiesSupport process improvement initiatives and workflow organization effortsLearn manufacturing workflows, production planning processes, and engineering systemsAttend project meetings and assist with meeting notes, action items, and follow-up activitiesAssist in preparing reports, presentations, and project status updatesCollaborate with team members across Engineering, Production, Operations, and other departmentsContribute ideas for improving efficiency, communication, and project organizationSupport ASC's commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellenceWhat We're Looking ForHigh school junior or senior, trade school student, or college student pursuing Engineering, Business, Construction Management, Manufacturing, Project Management, or a related fieldStrong organizational and communication skillsComfortable using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and OutlookDetail-oriented with good time management skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environmentWillingness to learn and contribute in a team-oriented settingPositive attitude, strong work ethic, and eagerness to develop professionallyAbility to maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling company informationPreferred ExperienceInterest in manufacturing, engineering, project management, or construction industriesExperience with spreadsheets, reports, or data organization through school projects or previous work experienceExposure to technical drawings, manufacturing processes, or project management conceptsParticipation in STEM, technical education, vocational programs, or related extracurricular activitiesPhysical & Work RequirementsAbility to work in both office and manufacturing environmentsAbility to regularly walk the production floor and interact with project teams and manufacturing personnelAbility to sit, stand, and move throughout facilities as neededAbility to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.Must wear appropriate PPE and follow all company safety protocols while on the production floorExposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures within manufacturing environmentsCome helps us build safer, smarter, and more efficient ways to power the world's most demanding data centers.About ASCAcoustical Sheetmetal Company (ASC) provides on-site power integration for large-scale data centers.
