About the role
Minutemen Staffing Slitter Set-Up Technician (Shimless Tooling)Minutemen Staffing is currently seeking a Slitter Set-Up Technician with experience in shimless tooling for steel slitting operations. This role supports the Horizon Steel Quality System and requires strict adherence to safety standards, including the use of hard hats and safety glasses. Responsibilities include entering cut data into tooling software to generate setup specifications for arbors and over/under separator arms, adjusting setups based on steel gauge, material type, and customer specifications, and overseeing proper separator arm setup. Additional duties include inspecting tooling for wear or replacement needs, carefully handling equipment to prevent damage, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and promptly reporting any quality concerns or production issues to supervision to help prevent nonconformance.
Qualifications:
Applicants should have 6 months to 1 year of experience setting up arbors for steel slitting equipment. Basic reading, writing, and math skills are required. Familiarity with tooling software and measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, feeler gauges, and standard steel slitting tools is preferred. Apply now at www.minutemenstaffing.com.
