About the role
Staff Duty Bus DriverThe Staff Duty Bus Driver drives minibus or van to transport clients, trainees, or company personnel as well as transporting of luggage and personal belongings in box trucks and stake beds. Essential Functions of the Position Drives vehicle from individual or central loading area to social services or rehabilitation center, medical centers, training location, job site, travel centers, or other destination according to assigned mission. Operate radio or similar device to communicate with base station or other vehicles to report drop off, pick up and disruption of service. Clean and/or service vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories Keep records of trips and/or behavior of passengers Perform other duties when not driving such as, custodial and building maintenance tasks. Must be able to operate 15 to 26 passengers' minibus or van. Must be able to operate a Stake Bed/ Box truck up to 5 tons. Physical Demands Required to walk, stand, sit, and move about the property for long periods of time. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Required Qualifications and Expectations High school diploma/GED or equivalent Class A or B Commercial driver's license with passenger endorsementDOT medical evaluation card Excellent communication and customer service skills. Multi-task oriented Must be 21 years old. Must have an acceptable driving record (7 year) Must have proficient English verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of Ft. Bliss and state driving regulations. Must be familiar with Ft. Bliss, McGregor, Dona Ana and Oro Grande footprints. Work Environment Indoor/Outdoor; exposure to external environmental conditions possible. Noise level can range from minimal to intense. Must be able to obtain and maintain CAC access, to include network access. Valid Driver's License and ability to maintain post driving privileges. Prior experience working with/for the US Military, a plus. Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English. Security Requirements Must be a US Citizen. Must be able to pass a National Criminal Background Check.
