About the role
Peer Source is currently recruiting for a Leadership Program Associate on a Direct Hire basis. This role can be based across the country, but requires onsite work and temporary relocation to different cities as required during the first year.
Summary:
We are seeking a motivated, customer-focused professional for a rotational Leadership Development Program designed to develop future General Managers. Participants relocate to multiple U.S. markets while gaining hands-on experience across guest services, operations, account management, sales, vendor relations, and market leadership. Upon successful completion of the program, participants typically transition into an Associate General Manager role with a path toward leading a market as General Manager. Employees are paid a full salary with benefits and offered subsidized housing in the market they are training in, with travel expenses fully paid.
Responsibilities:
Complete three hands-on rotations in different U.S. markets, developing an understanding of the business from frontline operations through market leadership. Learn guest experience and apartment setup operations, including coordinating move-ins/move-outs, property readiness, furnishings, utilities, technology, key management, vendors, and customer service. Develop account management expertise by gathering client requirements, identifying available housing options, presenting solutions, coordinating bookings, and managing inventory. Become highly proficient with Salesforce CRM and reservation management tools while managing client activity, housing availability, and conversion opportunities. Build relationships with property managers, vendors, clients, and internal teams to support service delivery and market performance. Develop General Manager capabilities, including P&L management, inventory strategy, vendor and property negotiations, customer experience, sales oversight, and day-to-day market operations. Gain exposure to business development by identifying opportunities, supporting sales activities, and partnering with sales professionals to grow market revenue. Take ownership of the development program by proactively working with General Managers and other leaders to master assigned competencies and progressively operate with greater autonomy. Prepare to transition into an Associate General Manager position and ultimately assume responsibility for the people, operations, customer relationships, and financial performance of a local market.
Required Skills:
1-2+ years of professional corporate business experience is required, ideally in operations, management, sales, hospitality, financial services, or another relationship-driven environment. Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build lasting relationships with clients, vendors, property partners, and colleagues. Comfort working with financial and operational information; experience with P&L management, financial analysis, operations, supply chain, sales, or people management is particularly valuable. Ability and willingness to relocate multiple times during the program and accept a final placement based on available business needs across the United States. Demonstrated initiative, resilience, work ethic, adaptability, and willingness to perform hands-on responsibilities at every level of the operation. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, Finance, Management, or a related field. H1 sponsorship is not available. Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
