Role Description:
The Construction Superintendent is a full-time, on-site role based in Memphis, TN and the southeast. This position oversees daily construction activities, manages crews and subcontractors, and ensures work is completed on schedule, within budget, and in line with project specifications. The role includes coordinating materials and equipment deliveries, monitoring job site safety and compliance, and maintaining organized project documentation and reports. The Construction Superintendent works closely with project managers, clients, and inspectors to resolve issues, address changes, and maintain clear communication throughout each project. This role requires active presence on construction sites, regular quality checks, and leadership that supports efficient and safe project execution.
Qualifications:
Candidates should possess strong Construction Site Management skills, including supervising crews and coordinating daily operations.
Candidates should possess Construction Safety knowledge, with experience enforcing OSHA standards and company safety policies.
Candidates should possess Organization Skills to manage schedules, documentation, and multiple tasks across concurrent projects.
Candidates should possess Budgeting skills to help track costs, support cost control, and align work with financial targets.
Candidates should possess Project Management abilities, including planning, sequencing work, and coordinating stakeholders.
Relevant additional qualifications include prior superintendent or foreperson experience in construction or restoration, familiarity with waterproofing and structural repair methods, and proficiency with basic construction software and mobile tools.
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or a degree in construction management or a related field is beneficial.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, strong communication skills, and a valid driver’s license are required.
