Pay: $80,000 to $100,000 per year Put your cutting tool expertise to work at a growing precision manufacturer, making the tooling decisions that drive productivity, tool life, and cost across the shop. Tooling Specialist and Tooling Engineer candidates will be considered. Must-Haves Hands-on experience with cutting tools in CNC machining or precision metalworking Strong knowledge of cutting tool specifications and machining applications Experience solving tooling-related machining and production problems Ability to analyze tooling cost, consumption, and tool life Comfort working directly with suppliers, engineering, and manufacturing teams
What You'll Do: Determine the right cutting tool specifications for new and existing jobs Evaluate new cutting tools and tooling technologies Analyze tooling costs, productivity, and tool life to find improvements Partner with manufacturing, engineering, and cutting tool suppliers Maintain tooling inventory and coordinate tool service and repair Support MRO purchasing and vendor negotiations Drive continuous improvement through smarter tooling choices Nice-to-Haves Experience with multi-spindle or screw machines Manual machining background Machining or engineering education
