Location: Durham, NC
Schedule: Hybrid 3 days onsite / 2 days remote

Interview Process:
3 rounds Start: ASAPRole Overview Supporting day-to-day regulatory and compliance activities across life insurance, annuity, and health insurance products. Conducting regulatory research, managing product filings, completing multi-state reviews, and communicating with state regulators. Partnering with product development and internal business teams to interpret regulatory requirements, support contract development, identify compliance risks, and provide guidance throughout the insurance product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Conducting regulatory research and interpreting state and federal insurance requirements.
Preparing, reviewing, and managing insurance product filings with state insurance departments.
Performing 50-state regulatory reviews using LexisNexis or similar regulatory research tools.
Communicating with state regulators regarding product filings, regulatory requirements, and compliance matters.
Supporting contract drafting, contract development, and compliance reviews for insurance products.
Partnering with financial and insurance product development teams throughout the product development and filing process.
Reviewing point-of-sale requirements and contract administration processes for regulatory compliance.
Identifying compliance risks and translating regulatory requirements into practical processes and controls.
Participating in industry and regulatory working groups and monitoring changes to insurance regulations.
Providing compliance guidance, training, and mentoring to other compliance professionals and internal stakeholders.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree.5+ years of regulatory and compliance experience within life insurance, annuities, or health insurance.
Strong experience with regulatory research and insurance product filings.
Experience filing products with state insurance departments and communicating with state regulators.
Experience conducting multi-state or 50-state regulatory reviews.
Strong knowledge of life insurance, annuity, and health insurance regulations.
Experience with contract drafting and insurance product development review.
Experience working with financial or insurance product development teams.
