About the role

Senior Manager, Business Development – Samsung Wallet Samsung Wallet – Digital Ecosystem Samsung Wallet is a platform where people store and access payment cards, travel documents, loyalty programs, credentials, and digital keys. We're building toward a single place to manage all of it.
The Role: We're looking for a Senior Manager of Business Development who can see the entire ecosystem—from payment networks and fintechs to airlines, loyalty platforms, and credential issuers—and build partnerships that create real value for all sides. You'll own strategy, execution, and scaling across both traditional payment partnerships and emerging digital services. This is a high-impact, autonomous role. You'll spend time on strategy and partnership selection, but also in the trenches negotiating deals, solving problems with partners, and working cross-functionally to unblock obstacles. You'll measure success in partnerships launched, users engaged, and revenue impact.
What You'll Do: Strategy & Opportunity:• Define business development strategy and partnership roadmap across payment and digital service ecosystems• Identify high-impact partnership opportunities: where are the biggest user needs, revenue opportunities, and competitive advantages?• Build a pipeline of potential partners and prioritize based on strategic fit, financial impact, and user value Deal Making:• Lead end-to-end partnership negotiations: from commercial terms and data agreements to product integration requirements• Navigate complex multi-stakeholder dynamics—working with legal, finance, product, and executive leadership to get deals over the finish line• Structure deals that work for partners: you'll balance Samsung Wallet's interests with partner needs to create win-win situations Execution & Scaling:• Partner with product and engineering to translate partnership requirements into product roadmaps• Own go-to-market strategy with marketing: how do we launch partnerships and drive user adoption?• Manage the partnership lifecycle: track performance, identify growth opportunities, and optimize for engagement and monetization• Work closely with analytics to understand partnership impact and ROI—and use data to inform decisions Leadership & Communication:• Present partnership strategy, pipeline, and performance to senior leadership with clarity and conviction• Be the voice of partners internally—advocate for their needs and help Samsung Wallet understand market dynamics• Build strong, trust-based relationships with key partners that last beyond individual transactions
What We're Looking For
Required: • 8+ years of experience with a bachelor's degree, or 6+ years with a master's degree, in business development, partnerships, or strategy roles within fintech, payments, mobile, or related fields.• Proven track record closing and scaling partnerships to actual impact• Knowledge of fintech, payments, digital wallets, or mobile ecosystems• Comfortable negotiating contracts and working through legal and commercial complexity• Data-driven. You make decisions based on information, not intuition alone• Clear communicator. You can explain technical or complex concepts to different audiences• BA/BS in Business, Computer Science, or equivalent
Preferred Experience: • Experience in payment networks, banks, or fintech partnerships• Background with airlines, hotels, loyalty platforms, or travel tech• Exposure to digital identity or credential platforms• Experience working across global markets• Familiarity with Samsung products or the Android ecosystem Compensation for this role, for candidates based in New York, NY, is expected to be between $175,000 ~ $210,000 base. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role. Regular full-time employees (salaried or hourly) have access to benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401(k), Employee Purchase Program, Tuition Assistance (after 6 months), Paid Time Off, Student Loan Program (after 6 months), Wellness Incentives, and many more.#LI-KG1

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
