Role Description:
The Export Operations and Logistics Professional is a full-time, on-site role based in Farmingdale, NY with a transition to hybrid status in 90 days. This role is responsible for preparing and reviewing export documentation, coordinating shipments with carriers and freight forwarders, and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations. Daily activities include managing bookings, tracking cargo, communicating shipment status to customers, and resolving operational issues as they arise. The professional will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to support import/export processes, maintain accurate records, and meet deadlines. The role also involves responding to customer inquiries, providing status updates, and contributing to process improvements in the logistics workflow.
Qualifications:
Strong understanding of export documentation and related compliance requirements. Experience in import/export operations, including coordinating Export and Import processes. Knowledge of export license requirements for client advisory Customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients and partners. Attention to detail and organizational skills for managing multiple shipments and deadlines. Proficiency with logistics and shipping software, as well as standard office applications (e.g., Excel, Word).Knowledge of international trade regulations, Incoterms, and customs procedures is beneficial. Ability to work on-site, collaborate with a team, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain operations preferred. Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain, or a related field is advantageous.
Salary Range: Negotiable with industry experience
