About the Role: As a Manufacturing Engineer II, you’ll play a key role in bringing new products into production and improving the way our existing precision instruments are built and serviced. This is a hands-on engineering role where you’ll work across electrical, mechanical, optical, and software systems to solve manufacturing challenges, troubleshoot complex product issues, improve processes, and ensure our products are designed for manufacturability and long-term serviceability. You’ll work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and external suppliers while also serving as a technical resource and mentor to engineers and technicians.
What You’ll Do:
  • Own and improve manufacturing processes for new and existing products
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) from prototype through production
  • Troubleshoot complex production, calibration, testing, and quality issues
  • Perform hands-on assembly, calibration, testing, and evaluation of new product prototypes
  • Improve equipment layouts, workflows, assembly methods, tooling, and manufacturing capacity
  • Partner with product development teams to influence design for manufacturability and serviceability
  • Lead root-cause analysis and implement sustainable process and quality improvements
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, BOMs, calibration processes, and technical documentation
  • Collaborate with suppliers on components, designs, and manufacturing processes
  • Mentor Manufacturing Engineers and Technicians and serve as a technical resource across the organization
What We’re Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline with 5+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong hands-on experience in a manufacturing, production, or product engineering environment
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and/or electromechanical systems
  • Experience with 3D CAD modeling (SolidWorks), PCB layout tools (Altium), or similar engineering design software
  • Strong root-cause analysis, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with Configuration Management, Change Control, and Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • Experience developing manufacturing documentation, including SOPs and BOMsERP and MES experience preferred
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Certified Manufacturing Engineer certification is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across engineering and manufacturing teams
