About the role
Detail-oriented and passionate about payroll and tax, the full-time remote Payroll Tax Specialist will serve as a subject matter expert on employment tax compliance for the US and Canada, managing tax notices, registrations, and high-volume employee inquiries while ensuring adherence to regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Research, investigate, and resolve US and Canada federal, state/provincial, and local payroll tax notices
Process payroll tax adjustments, W2c corrections, and T4 amendments accurately and on time
Manage and resolve high-volume employee tax/payroll inquiries, delivering excellent customer serviceRequired Qualifications 3-5 years of hands-on experience in employment/payroll tax for both the USA and Canada
Well-versed in Workday and Smart Compliance, including managing tax registrations
Experience with quarter-end and year-end payroll tax processes, including filings and reconciliations
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; FPC or PCP certification desirable
Proven ability to manage high-volume employee inquiries with a strong customer service orientation
