Aprio is partnering with an organization in Washington, D.C. to find a Payroll Manager to lead centralized payroll operations across four distinctive institutions.
What You'll Be Doing:
Leading end-to-end payroll for 500+ regular, temporary, and seasonal employees across multiple institutions and states Serving as primary Paylocity system administrator — processing, reporting, and system management Preparing payroll tax filings, 941 reconciliations, W-2s, and audit support Coordinating garnishments, direct deposits, retirement contributions, and benefit deductions Partnering with HR, Finance, and institutional leaders across a shared services model Identifying opportunities to modernize processes, strengthen controls, and improve service delivery
What We're Looking For:
5+ years of progressive payroll administration experience Multi-state payroll processing — 500+ employees preferred Paylocity experience strongly preferred Experience with 941 reconciliations, payroll tax filings, and audit support Multi-institution or shared services experience a plusCPP certification a plus Bachelor's degree in Accounting, HR, Business, or related field Why This Role:$100,000 base salary Hybrid — 2 days onsite in Washington, D.C. with path to fully remote once established Free parking Mission-driven environment supporting iconic educational and cultural institutions Opportunity to modernize and truly own the payroll function#Payroll Manager #Paylocity #WashingtonDC #Hybrid Work #Payroll Jobs #Now Hiring #Aprio
