About the role

Art in Action, a nonprofit organization, is seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Sales Representative to support revenue growth and expand our mission impact. This role focuses on generating new business opportunities and maintaining strong relationships with schools and youth organizations. The Sales Representative plays a key role in growing program adoption.
Responsibilities: Achieve individual sales targets through inbound leads and outbound outreach Prospect and qualify new school and youth organization partners through calls, email campaigns, and networking Support the full sales cycle from initial outreach to closing Build and maintain strong, ongoing relationships with customers to drive retention Deliver compelling presentations and proposals that communicate Art in Action's value Maintain accurate records of sales activity and pipeline in CRM (Salesforce)Collaborate with marketing on campaigns that generate leads and increase awareness Stay informed on K–8 education trends and school funding environments Participate in events and outreach efforts that promote the organization's mission Qualifications 2–4 years of sales, account management, or business development experience Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales or performance goals Experience with prospecting, lead generation, and customer outreach Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills Organized, with good time management and follow-through Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced, mission-driven environment Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Preferred Experience: Experience in education, nonprofit, or mission-driven organizations Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and digital sales tools Passion for arts education and community impact Self-starter with a positive, solutions-oriented mindset Estimated total annual compensation: $55,000 – $75,000, including: Performance-based commission or bonus opportunitiesPTO (paid time off), paid holidays, and sick leave Medical, dental, vision, and retirement benefits Hybrid work environment (office in Redwood City, California)About Art in Action Art in Action is a nonprofit organization that empowers children through visual arts education, serving tens of thousands of students each year.
