Reports To: Golf Course GM / Superintendent
Position Summary: We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and professional Golf Course Marshal to help maintain an enjoyable pace of play and a positive experience for all golfers. The Marshal will monitor course activity, assist golfers, enforce course policies, and help ensure the course operates safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities: Monitor pace of play and encourage groups to maintain an appropriate pace. Provide friendly assistance and information to golfers. Explain and enforce golf course rules and policies in a professional manner. Monitor course conditions and report maintenance or safety concerns. Help manage tee times and spacing between groups when needed. Assist with course etiquette and proper use of carts. Communicate delays, course conditions, or other important information to golfers. Respond appropriately to customer concerns and refer issues to management when necessary. Maintain a visible, professional presence throughout the course. Perform other duties as assigned by the Golf Course Manager.
Qualifications: Excellent customer service and communication skills. Friendly, courteous, and professional demeanor. Ability to interact comfortably with golfers of all experience levels. Reliable and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to remain calm and professional when addressing difficult situations. Knowledge of golf rules and etiquette preferred. Previous golf course, hospitality, or customer service experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements: Ability to spend extended periods outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to walk or ride throughout the golf course for extended periods. Ability to safely operate or ride in a golf cart. Schedule Primarily weekends, holidays, mornings, and peak golf hours. Schedule may vary based on course needs.
