About the Role: The Head of Loan Agency Middle Office will: Lead a team of loans agency professionals, overseeing the administrative and collateral agency functions for complex lending transactions. Act as the primary escalation point for intricate agency matters, including amendments, waivers, consents, and documentation interpretation. Partner with origination, lending, legal, risk, and operations teams to ensure seamless transaction execution, governance, and client service. Drive process improvements, standardisation, and scalable operating practices to enhance efficiency and service quality. Maintain strong risk controls, compliance, and governance in line with legal documentation and market standards.
About the Team: The Agency Middle Office serves as the central coordination hub for transactions, liaising with borrowers, lenders, legal counsel, and internal stakeholders. The team is committed to delivering best-in-class agency services while upholding robust operational controls and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities: Manage and develop the Agency Middle Office team, including staffing, training, and performance management. Foster strong relationships with borrowers, lenders, and internal/external stakeholders. Oversee a centralised agency pipeline to support capacity planning and resource allocation. Champion process enhancements and innovative solutions to optimise service delivery. Ensure adherence to legal documentation, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.8+ years’ experience in an Agency Middle/Front Office role, ideally with highly structured transactions. Proficiency in Microsoft Applications, loan systems (e.g., Loan IQ), and debt domain expertise. Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills, with a track record of team development and stakeholder management. Ability to manage complex priorities and drive process improvements. Salary: $165,000 - $209,000 base plus discretionary bonus programme.
