About the role

Job Description
About Us: Capability is an EHS software and training company based in Knoxville, Tennessee. We help organizations in safety-critical industries keep their people safe and their operations compliant. A growing library of professionally produced training courses sits alongside a software platform that brings training, corrective actions, qualifications, forms, and more into one place.
About the Role: We're looking for a Customer Service Representative to be the friendly, reliable voice of Capability. This person owns our customer experience day to day: answering calls, emails, and chats, helping clients with course access and account questions, and making sure every customer walks away feeling taken care of. You'll also lend a detail-oriented eye to quality control, reviewing courses and materials before they go out the door. This is a great fit for someone who genuinely likes helping people and takes pride in getting the details right. You don't need a background in safety or EHS. You do need patience, follow-through, and the kind of communication skills that turn a frustrated customer into a loyal one.
What You'll Do: Respond to customer phone calls, emails, and chat inquiries and see them through to resolution Manage client accounts, including onboarding, course access, enrollment requests, and ongoing support Perform quality control reviews on courses and materials before delivery Coordinate with our production and marketing teams to keep projects and requests moving Keep documentation and records organized and up to date Test and provide feedback on our platform to help us continuously improve it for our clients
What We're Looking For: Experience in customer support, account management, or a similar role Strong written and verbal communication skills Detail-oriented, especially when reviewing content or managing multiple accounts Comfortable learning and testing new software Someone who takes ownership, solves problems without being asked twice, and treats customers with patience and care Compensation is $20 per hour, with 10 days of personal PTO, 12 days of federal PTO and healthcare.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
